Dad Matters Bradford supports dads to have the most successful relationships with their families.
We’re about engaging dads where they are to help them better understand their baby, their role as a dad and how the transition to fatherhood may affect them and their family.
We work directly with services that support dads, families and especially babies to increase engagement and knowledge across the sector.
We want to make sure dads know how important they are, how to access support when they need it and why it’s essential for baby’s development.
We’re part of the national Dad Matters movement, and we’re a project of Home-Start Bradford District funded by the Family Hubs and Start for Life programme.

Attachment and Bonding
Some men find bonding with their baby difficult, but you don’t have to wait until they are born to start.
Mental Health
When a parent experiences poor mental health it can affect the way they respond to, bond with and care for their child.
Access to Services
Who can I contact if I am worried about my
relationship with my baby or my own wellbeing?
